Using the app with Palzin Monitor

If you'd like to get notified right away on your mobile device, you're at the right place. By configuring the push notifications, you can immediately get an incident notification with our iOS and Android apps. Sounds good? Let's share the how-to steps.

Connecting iOS and Android Palzin Monitor apps:

  1. Go to Integrations -> Exporting data and select the app you want to configure. Alternatively, you can download it directly from Google Play or App store.
  2. Once downloaded, connect the app to your account via the QR code in your account settings by scanning it from your Palzin Monitor app.

Configuring the push notifications on your monitors

After you've configured your mobile device as a receiver, you also need to include push notifications in your monitor's settings.

You can do that by going to the monitor's configuration -> On-call escalation -> When there's a new incident -> Push notification.

Using the Advanced escalation policies? You can also configure the Urgencies to further specify how to use the notification channels.

Android app adjustments

Looking to customize the Palzin Monitor app on your Android device?

Sure! How to?

  • Open the app
  • Click on the dots on the right side
  • Select Configure notifications

This will take you to the notification settings of the app right away, allowing you to adjust lots of things.

Among others, by selecting the "Notification categories", you can specifically adjust each of the notifications, like Incident started or Incidents resolved. You can easily assign a different notification sound, choose to silence some types of notifications or disable it altogether.

iOS app adjustments & Critical alerts

Focusing on deep work or in a meeting, but want to get alerted when something goes wrong?

The Palzin Monitor iOS app has been issued a special entitlement to Critical alerts, which allow the app to ignore the mute switch and Do Not Disturb mode.

The system plays a critical alert's sound regardless of the device's mute or Do Not Disturb settings. How to enable it?

  • Open the app
  • Click on the dots on the right side
  • Select Configure notifications
  • Find the option Critical alerts and turn the switch on.

Furthermore, you can also select the type of notifications you'd like to receive, enable/disable the sound, etc.
