Pausing monitors from the UI

If you want to pause monitors (for example during setup or testing) and not receive downtime alerts:

  • Go to Monitors.
  • Pick the monitor you want to pause.
  • Click Pause this monitor in the headline.
  • We will not monitor the endpoint host now.
  • If you want to start monitoring again, click Resume.

Scheduled maintenance window

Schedule maintenance window from the UI

Scheduled maintenance windows are used for times when you're expecting downtime to occur, and don't want to be alerted. This could be for example when running maintenance scripts in your infrastructure or provisioning a new infrastructure.

To add a maintenance window:

  • Go to Monitors.
  • Pick the monitor you want to add a maintenance window to.
  • Click Configure in the headline.
  • Click Advanced settings.
  • Enter your maintenance window time in the Maintenance window between section, and select the right time zone.
  • Click Save changes.

This option is available in Uptime Monitor, DNS Monitor, Keyword Monitor, API Monitor, Ping Monitor, TCP/UDP Port Monitor, HTTP Status Code Monitor, Heartbeats and Services.
